WELCOME!!!

Hello Room 11 students and parents,

Welcome back (or welcome to)Fox Hill for the 2011-2012 school year! My name is Mr. Lisano and I am looking forward to using a classroom blog for the very first time.  I will be using this blog to better communicate with students and parents.
The primary use for the blog will be to keep students and parents aware of the nightly homework,  upcoming projects or assignments, and/or any important information that students and parents need to be aware of (i.e. field trip permission slip due date, Winter Concert date, etc).
Every afternoon I will post that night's homework on the blog.  This allows EVERYONE (students and parents) to have access to homework even if someone forgot to write down their homework, did not write it down correctly, or was absent or dismissed from school that day.  You are not required to check the blog daily but the more you check the blog the more you will make sure that you are informed about what is going on in Room 11, in fifth grade, and at Fox Hill School. Also, on the right side of my blog there are links to the three other fifth grade teachers' blogs.  This is very important as we will be switching for science, social studies, math, and guided reading.  So, you might have homework from three or four teachers in one night. CHECK ALL FOX HILL TEACHERS' BLOGS!
Like I stated before, I am looking forward to using this blog keep everyone on the same page, especially regarding homework. My email address is lisano@bpsk12.org . Please let me know if you have any questions about my new blog!
